A Break From the Daily Grind

Finally, I get a little R & R! A lovely staycation in National Harbor was just what I needed. You know it's hard out there for a baby...rolling one way, then the other, staring at the dog, taking 4-6 naps a day, grabbing for everything, and hours of babbling and blowing bubbles. I REALLY needed some time to de-stress and reflect on my first 5 months.

I left it all behind...including my briefcase, newspapers, and cup of morning ambition to join momo, papa, mom, and dad at the Gaylord National Convention Center. I also got to meet my cousin Caroline for the first time, which was great! We took a boat to Alexandria to see Miss Hadley, went to the Peep store, watched the world cup, and got big steaks. Mom and Dad also got to celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary while I partied the night away with Sean Penn.

However, it wasn't all play and no work...I also headed over the to Air and Space Museum, sans rocket pj's, to take one small step for mankind and rub elbows with some astronauts. I'm on my way to a long, promising career in the space program and it's never too early for some nepotism. But first, I think I'll have a "nap"otism.
